Public transport
It is in the interest of every traveller, and in the case of a visually impaired traveler in particular,
to use a style of signage.
The Netherlands has a legal basis for using guided facilities in public transport:
The Equal Treatment on the Grounds of Disability or Chronic Illness Act, which includes the Accessibility of Public Transport Decree . This includes that train and metro platforms, just like the
stations and their surroundings must be adapted before 1 January 2020 in such a way that everyone,
regardless of his or her disability.
For the blind and visually impaired, "adapted" means there is a tactile or other
directional route guidance. You can read the decision here .
