In 2009, Brailleplan, together with ProRail BV and Oogvereniging Nederland, developed the first Braille signs specifically for visually impaired travellers.
This has resulted in a high-quality and sustainable end product.

These curved Titanium Braille signs can be found on the red tube railings of more than 400 NS platforms.

On August 30, 2016, NS presented the first modernized double-decker in the NedTrain workshop in Haarlem. Until 2020, 81 VIRM double-deckers will undergo a thorough renovation, the largest modernization project ever for NedTrain.
The train is equipped with wheelchair accessible toilets. The contrast at the train doors has been improved for visibility. The stair railings contain Braille plates from Brailleplan.

Brailleplan also offers the option of manufacturing the Braille signs from titanium.
The titanium signs have been specially developed for ProRail BV and are very suitable for outdoor use.
